विश्वरूप दर्शन योग (Visvarupa Darsana Yoga)

अमी हि त्वां सुरसङ्घा विशन्ति केचिद्भीताः प्राञ्जलयो गृणन्ति । स्वस्तीत्युक्त्वा महर्षिसिद्धसङ्घाः स्तुवन्ति त्वां स्तुतिभिः पुष्कलाभिः ॥ २१॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “ये देवताओं के समूह आपमें प्रवेश कर रहे हैं; कुछ भयभीत होकर हाथ जोड़कर आपकी स्तुति कर रहे हैं; तथा महर्षियों और सिद्धों के समूह "कल्याण हो" कहकर अनेक प्रकार की स्तुतियों से आपकी स्तुति करते हैं।”

English Translation: Indeed, these hosts of gods enter into You; some, frightened, praise You with folded hands; and the hosts of great sages and perfected ones, saying "May all be well," sing Your praises with elaborate hymns.

रुद्रादित्या वसवो ये च साध्या विश्वेऽश्विनौ मरुतश्चोष्मपाश्च । गन्धर्वयक्षासुरसिद्धसङ्घा वीक्षन्ते त्वां विस्मिताश्चैव सर्वे ॥ २२॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “रुद्र, आदित्य, वसु, साध्य, विश्वेदेव, अश्विनीकुमार, मरुत्, उष्मप (पितर), तथा गन्धर्व, यक्ष, असुर और सिद्धों के समूह – सभी आपको आश्चर्य से देख रहे हैं।”

English Translation: The Rudras, Adityas, Vasus, Sadhyas, Vishvedevas, the two Ashvins, Maruts, Ushmapas (manes), and hosts of Gandharvas, Yakshas, Asuras, and Siddhas – all gaze at You in amazement.

रूपं महत्ते बहुवक्त्रनेत्रं महाबाहो बहुबाहूरुपादम् । बहूदरं बहुदंष्ट्राकरालं दृष्ट्वा लोकाः प्रव्यथितास्तथाहम् ॥ २३॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “हे महाबाहो, आपके इस महान् रूप को, जिसमें अनेक मुख और नेत्र हैं, अनेक भुजाएँ, जंघाएँ और पैर हैं, अनेक उदर हैं, और अनेक दाढ़ों से विकराल है, देखकर सभी लोक व्याकुल हो रहे हैं और मैं भी व्याकुल हूँ।”

English Translation: O mighty-armed one, seeing Your vast form with many mouths and eyes, with many arms, thighs, and feet, with many bellies, and terrible with many tusks, the worlds are terrified, and so am I.

नभःस्पृशं दीप्तमनेकवर्णं व्यात्ताननं दीप्तविशालनेत्रम् । दृष्ट्वा हि त्वां प्रव्यथितान्तरात्मा धृतिं न विन्दामि शमं च विष्णो ॥ २४॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “हे विष्णो, आपको आकाश को स्पर्श करते हुए, दीप्त, अनेक रंगों वाले, फैले हुए मुख वाले तथा दीप्त और विशाल नेत्रों वाले देखकर मेरी अंतरात्मा व्याकुल हो रही है और मुझे न धैर्य मिलता है, न शांति।”

English Translation: O Vishnu, seeing You touching the sky, shining in many colors, with mouths wide open, and large glowing eyes, my inner self is perturbed, and I find no courage or peace.

दंष्ट्राकरालानि च ते मुखानि दृष्ट्वैव कालानलसन्निभानि । दिशो न जाने न लभे च शर्म प्रसीद देवेश जगन्निवास ॥ २५॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “आपके उन मुखों को, जो दाढ़ों से विकराल हैं और प्रलयकाल की अग्नि के समान प्रतीत होते हैं, देखकर मुझे दिशाओं का भी ज्ञान नहीं रहा और मुझे शांति नहीं मिलती। हे देवेश, हे जगन्निवास, प्रसन्न हों।”

English Translation: Seeing Your mouths terrible with tusks, like the fires of cosmic dissolution, I lose all sense of direction and find no peace. O Lord of gods, O abode of the universe, be gracious!

अमी च त्वां धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्राः सर्वे सहैवावनिपालसङ्घैः । भीष्मो द्रोणः सूतपुत्रस्तथासौ सहास्मदीयैरपि योधमुख्यैः ॥ २६॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “धृतराष्ट्र के ये सभी पुत्र तथा राजाओं के समूह, भीष्म, द्रोण, कर्ण और हमारे प्रमुख योद्धा भी आपके मुखों में प्रवेश कर रहे हैं।”

English Translation: All the sons of Dhritarashtra, along with hosts of kings, Bhishma, Drona, and Karna, as well as the chief warriors on our side, are rushing into Your mouths.

वक्त्राणि ते त्वरमाणा विशन्ति दंष्ट्राकरालानि भयानकानि । केचिद्विलग्ना दशनान्तरेषु सन्दृश्यन्ते चूर्णितैरुत्तमाङ्गैः ॥ २७॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “वे सब आपके उन भयानक दाढ़ों वाले मुखों में शीघ्रता से प्रवेश कर रहे हैं। कुछ तो दाँतों के बीच चिपके हुए दिख रहे हैं और उनके सिर चूर्ण हो गए हैं।”

English Translation: They are rushing into Your terrible mouths with their fearful tusks. Some are seen stuck between the teeth, their heads crushed to powder.

यथा नदीनां बहवोऽम्बुवेगाः समुद्रमेवाभिमुखा द्रवन्ति । तथा तवामी नरलोकवीरा विशन्ति वक्त्राण्यभिविज्वलन्ति ॥ २८॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “जैसे नदियों के अनेक जल के वेग समुद्र की ओर दौड़ते हैं, वैसे ही ये मनुष्य लोक के वीर आपके प्रज्वलित मुखों में प्रवेश कर रहे हैं।”

English Translation: Just as many rushing rivers flow toward the ocean, so do these warriors of the human world enter Your blazing mouths.

यथा प्रदीप्तं ज्वलनं पतङ्गा विशन्ति नाशाय समृद्धवेगाः । तथैव नाशाय विशन्ति लोकास्तवापि वक्त्राणि समृद्धवेगाः ॥ २९॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “जैसे प्रज्वलित अग्नि में पतंगे तीव्र वेग से नाश के लिए प्रवेश करते हैं, वैसे ही ये सब लोग भी तीव्र वेग से आपके मुखों में नाश के लिए प्रवेश कर रहे हैं।”

English Translation: As moths with great speed rush into a blazing fire for destruction, so do these people with great speed rush into Your mouths for their destruction.

लेलिह्यसे ग्रसमानः समन्ताल्लोकान्समग्रान्वदनैर्ज्वलद्भिः । तेजोभिरापूर्य जगत्समग्रं भासस्तवोग्राः प्रतपन्ति विष्णो ॥ ३०॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “आप अपने प्रज्वलित मुखों से चारों ओर के समस्त लोकों को चाटते हुए निगल रहे हैं। हे विष्णो, आपकी उग्र किरणें सम्पूर्ण जगत् को तेज से भरकर तपा रही हैं।”

English Translation: Licking all the worlds with Your blazing mouths, You are devouring them on all sides. Your fierce rays fill the whole universe with radiance and burn it, O Vishnu.

आख्याहि मे को भवानुग्ररूपो नमोऽस्तु ते देववर प्रसीद । विज्ञातुमिच्छामि भवन्तमाद्यं न हि प्रजानामि तव प्रवृत्तिम् ॥ ३१॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “आप कौन हैं, जो इस उग्र रूप में हैं, यह मुझे बताइए। हे देवश्रेष्ठ, आपको नमस्कार है, प्रसन्न हों। मैं आपको, जो आदि हैं, जानना चाहता हूँ; क्योंकि मैं आपकी प्रवृत्ति को नहीं जानता।”

English Translation: Tell me who You are, so fierce in form. Salutations to You, O best of gods, be gracious. I wish to know You, the primal One, for I do not know Your purpose.

श्रीभगवानुवाच । कालोऽस्मि लोकक्षयकृत्प्रवृद्धो लोकान्समाहर्तुमिह प्रवृत्तः । ऋतेऽपि त्वां न भविष्यन्ति सर्वे येऽवस्थिताः प्रत्यनीकेषु योधाः ॥ ३२॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “श्रीभगवान् बोले: मैं प्रवृद्ध काल हूँ, लोकों का क्षय करने वाला, और इन लोकों का संहार करने के लिए यहाँ प्रवृत्त हुआ हूँ। तुम्हारे बिना भी, इन विपक्षी सेनाओं में स्थित सभी योद्धा नहीं रहेंगे।”

English Translation: The Blessed Lord said: I am the mighty world-destroying Time, now engaged in destroying the worlds. Even without you, none of the warriors arrayed in the opposing armies shall survive.

तस्मात्त्वमुत्तिष्ठ यशो लभस्व जित्वा शत्रून्भुङ्क्ष्व राज्यं समृद्धम् । मयैवैते निहताः पूर्वमेव निमित्तमात्रं भव सव्यसाचिन् ॥ ३३॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “इसलिए तू उठ, यश प्राप्त कर, शत्रुओं को जीतकर समृद्ध राज्य का भोग कर। ये सब तो मेरे द्वारा पहले ही मारे जा चुके हैं। हे सव्यसाची, तू निमित्त मात्र बन।”

English Translation: Therefore, stand up and gain glory. Conquer your enemies and enjoy a prosperous kingdom. They have already been slain by Me; be merely an instrument, O Savyasachin.

द्रोणं च भीष्मं च जयद्रथं च कर्णं तथान्यानपि योधवीरान् । मया हतांस्त्वं जहि मा व्यथिष्ठा युध्यस्व जेतासि रणे सपत्नान् ॥ ३४॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “द्रोण, भीष्म, जयद्रथ, कर्ण तथा अन्य महारथी योद्धा मेरे द्वारा मारे जा चुके हैं। तू उन्हें मार, व्यथित मत हो। युद्ध कर, तू युद्ध में शत्रुओं को जीत लेगा।”

English Translation: Slay Drona, Bhishma, Jayadratha, Karna, and other great warriors who are already killed by Me. Do not fear. Fight and you will conquer your enemies in battle.

सञ्जय उवाच । एतच्छ्रुत्वा वचनं केशवस्य कृताञ्जलिर्वेपमानः किरीटी । नमस्कृत्वा भूय एवाह कृष्णं सगद्गदं भीतभीतः प्रणम्य ॥ ३५॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “संजय बोले: हे राजन्, केशव के इन वचनों को सुनकर मुकुटधारी अर्जुन ने हाथ जोड़कर, कांपते हुए, नमस्कार किया और बहुत भयभीत होकर प्रणाम करके फिर कृष्ण से गद्गद स्वर में कहा।”

English Translation: Sanjaya said: Hearing these words of Kesava, Arjuna, with folded hands, trembling, prostrated himself and, overwhelmed with fear, again spoke to Krishna in a choked voice.

अर्जुन उवाच । स्थाने हृषीकेश तव प्रकीर्त्या जगत्प्रहृष्यत्यनुरज्यते च । रक्षांसि भीतानि दिशो द्रवन्ति सर्वे नमस्यन्ति च सिद्धसङ्घाः ॥ ३६॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “अर्जुन बोले: हे हृषीकेश, आपकी कीर्ति से जगत् का हर्षित और अनुरक्त होना उचित ही है; राक्षस भयभीत होकर दिशाओं में भाग रहे हैं और सभी सिद्धों के समूह आपको नमस्कार कर रहे हैं।”

English Translation: Arjuna said: It is proper, O Hrishikesha, that the world rejoices and is attracted by Your praise; the terrified demons flee in all directions, and all the hosts of perfected ones bow to You.

कस्माच्च ते न नमेरन्महात्मन् गरीयसे ब्रह्मणोऽप्यादिकर्त्रे । अनन्त देवेश जगन्निवास त्वमक्षरं सदसत्तत्परं यत् ॥ ३७॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “हे महात्मन्, आप सबसे श्रेष्ठ हैं, ब्रह्मा जी के भी आदिकर्ता हैं; फिर आपको सब लोग नमस्कार क्यों न करें? हे अनन्त, हे देवेश, हे जगन्निवास, आप वह अक्षर (अविनाशी) हैं, जो सत् और असत् से परे है।”

English Translation: Why should they not bow to You, O great soul, greater than all, the original creator even of Brahma? O infinite one, O Lord of gods, O abode of the universe, You are the imperishable, the cause of all manifestation, and beyond the manifested and the unmanifested.

त्वमादिदेवः पुरुषः पुराणस्त्वमस्य विश्वस्य परं निधानम् । वेत्तासि वेद्यं च परं च धाम त्वया ततं विश्वमनन्तरूप ॥ ३८॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “आप आदिदेव, पुरातन पुरुष हैं; आप इस विश्व के परम आश्रय हैं। आप ज्ञाता, ज्ञेय और परम धाम हैं। हे अनंतरूप, यह सम्पूर्ण विश्व आपसे ही व्याप्त है।”

English Translation: You are the primal God, the ancient Purusha; You are the supreme refuge of this universe. You are the knower, the knowable, and the supreme abode. O infinite form, the whole universe is pervaded by You.

वायुर्यमोऽग्निर्वरुणः शशाङ्कः प्रजापतिस्त्वं प्रपितामहश्च । नमो नमस्तेऽस्तु सहस्रकृत्वः पुनश्च भूयोऽपि नमो नमस्ते ॥ ३९॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “आप वायु, यम, अग्नि, वरुण, चंद्रमा, प्रजापति और प्रपितामह (ब्रह्मा के भी पिता) हैं। आपको हजारों बार नमस्कार है, बार-बार नमस्कार है, नमस्कार है।”

English Translation: You are Vayu, Yama, Agni, Varuna, the moon, and Prajapati, and the great-grandfather (of all). Salutations to You, a thousand times salutations to You! Salutations to You again and again!

नमः पुरस्तादथ पृष्ठतस्ते नमोऽस्तु ते सर्वत एव सर्व । अनन्तवीर्यामितविक्रमस्त्वं सर्वं समाप्नोषि ततोऽसि सर्वः ॥ ४०॥

हिंदी अनुवाद: “आपको सामने से नमस्कार, पीछे से नमस्कार, हे सर्व, आपको सब ओर से नमस्कार है। हे अनन्तवीर्य, हे अमितविक्रम, आप सब कुछ व्याप्त करते हैं, इसलिए आप ही सर्व कुछ हैं।”

English Translation: Salutations to You from the front and from behind; salutations to You from all sides, O All! O You of infinite power and immeasurable prowess, You pervade everything, and hence You are everything.
